Westview operates on private funding by individual, community and church donations for funding.
For some people, giving to a nonprofit organization can be a scary leap of faith. Questions like: "Where does my money go?" or "Can I trust these guys?" are legitimate questions. At Westview, there are several safeguards that we have put in place to ensure accountability and transparency in all of Westview’s financial dealings.
First, an independent accounting firm audits the Westview’s accounting records on a yearly basis. This audit report and the accompanying financial statements for 2008 are are available for review at the Westview office. (Please note that the 2009 audit report and accompanying statements will be available later this year when the audit is complete).
Secondly, Westview is also a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. Founded in 1979, ECFA provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, fund-raising and board governance.
Lastly and perhaps most importantly, Westview’s accounting records are open to anyone who would like to examine our books and the Westview accounting staff is available to answer questions anyone may have.
